1647 Barred Hook-tip Watsonalla cultraria

First recorded in Republic of Ireland in 2007 when specimens appeared at a number of traps in a small beech wood near Waterford on 22nd Aug. Remarkably another was seen in Co. Limerick 2 days later. In 2008, Barred Hook-tip has been seen at another site in Co. Clare and at the Waterford site
Only 2 previous Irish records are from 2 sites in Co. Down in 1999 and 2004.
It is likely that there are undetected colonies elsewhere
