2371 Brown-veined Wainscot Archanara dissoluta
First recorded in Ireland in 2003 on Angus Tyner's farm near Ashford Co.
Wicklow. It was seen again on the farm in 2004 and 2005. There is very little
reeds on farm and they are likely to be wanderers from the extensive reed beds a
mile to east.
In 2006 it was recorded from Portumna Forest Park Co. Galway. (Dave Allen). In
view of the fact that these sites are far apart, this species is likely to be
resident in other areas where extensive reed beds exist.
